Frequently Asked Questions
How quickly does the SportScreen deploy and retract?
Under a minute. The hand crank version takes about 30–60 seconds; the motorized (Remote Control) version is one button press. This makes it practical to use daily without dedicating the room to golf permanently.
What's the difference between the Vanish Series and Vanish LITE?
The Vanish Series is fully retractable (front + both sides retract) and ceiling-mounts with 4+ anchor points on level joists. The Vanish LITE is semi-retractable — the front rolls up while side curtains pin back — mounts to a single surface with 2 anchor points (works on sloped ceilings), and starts lower in price.
What ceiling height do I need?
The Vanish Series requires 108"–144" (9–12 ft) with relatively level ceiling joists. Standard 9 ft residential ceilings work for all models.
Hand crank or motorized remote?
Both are available on every size. Hand crank is simple and maintenance-free; the motorized Remote Control version deploys at the press of a button and includes a thermal cutoff after 4 minutes of continuous use to protect the motor.
Does it work for left-handed golfers?
Yes — the enclosure and baffle system contains shots from either side, fully compatible with right- and left-handed golfers.
What's included, and what do I still need?

I think this is a high quality product that will last for many years. In my research I've heard that many screens have a considerable bounce back where people need to come up with solutions to reduce that. I have not found that with this screen and am quite pleased with it.
The SportScreen Golf Studio has contributed to growing your passion for golf by making it more accessible and I am more motivated to golf on cold and/or rainy days.
It takes considerable time to attach or remove the front and corner baffles via ladder and then using the hand crank system to lower or retract. Because of that I haven't even retracted my studio. Regret not getting the powered option to reduce the time and effort.
You need help putting this up and getting it to work.
This is not a DIY project. You will need at least two people and the instructions are horrible and the videos have no sound, so they are basically worthless. I ended up hiring a company to put it together because there were so many challenges.
Worth Every Penny
Install was a little tricky with one bracket going on ceiling and other going on wall in corner of my garage. That being said, I can't stress enough how easy this is going up and down. Adding in the corner pieces, side pieces, etc.. takes about less then 5 minutes. I'm in MN so I leave it down over weekends when i know i'll be playing a lot. Getting the garage back is also a big plus, not having to have a stall in garage taken up by a sim is really important. Everything is really good quality, and the impact screen is thick. My back and hips are sore from swinging so much and playing so much golf. But that's a good thing!

Great Golf Enclosure, and awesome Customer Support
When it came to choosing the right Golf Enclosure, I did a whole bunch of research, and found the "SportScreen" Vanish 13H to be perfect for my needs as I do have an 11 foot ceiling. Installation had its challenges but the team at SportScreen where always available and without the usual lengthy wait times on hold... Immediate response and very knowledgable crew. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a golf enclosure that is retractable.
Well designed and quality sim
Design of this system makes installation incredibly flexible. My setup does not have the clearance needed (between garage rails and ceiling) so was able to use some of mounting hardware to fit the system in the tighter space, while taking advantage of the adjustability it provides. the system works great. i can now convert from a 2 car garage to a fully enclosed golf sim in less than 5 minutes. its a well designed and quality system

Honestly everything I wanted in an enclosure! I can play golf in my garage then can simply rise the enclosure to the ceiling and pull the cars in still maintain great storage for all of our kids stuff! Everyone is happy! Well worth it!
