Getting started

I’m new to simulators — where do I start?

Start with our free design tools: the two-minute Simulator Finder Quiz recommends systems for your budget and room, and the Simulator Builder lets you configure a setup component by component. No consultation required — though our team is a phone call away if you want one.

What is a golf simulator?

A golf simulator is an indoor setup that lets you play and practice golf year-round, regardless of weather. It typically includes a launch monitor to track your shots, a projector to display virtual courses on an impact screen, an enclosure, a hitting mat, and simulation software. You can play famous courses, practice your swing, and even compete with friends — all from the comfort of your home or garage.

Do I need golf experience to use a simulator?

Not at all! Golf simulators are perfect for complete beginners and experienced golfers alike. The instant shot feedback — club speed, ball speed, spin rate, launch angle — helps you learn faster than hitting at a range. Most software includes practice modes, tutorials, and driving range options. Many customers buy a simulator specifically to learn the game.

What’s the difference between a package and buying components separately?

Packages bundle a matched launch monitor, enclosure, screen, projector, mat, and software at a lower combined price — and we’ve already verified everything works together. Building piece by piece is great if you already own some components; the Simulator Builder will sanity-check your combination.

What’s included in a complete simulator package?

A complete simulator package typically includes:

Launch Monitor — The sensor that tracks your club and ball data
Enclosure — The frame that holds the impact screen
Impact Screen — The screen you hit into that also serves as your display
Projector — Projects the simulation onto the screen
Hitting Mat — A turf surface to hit from
Simulation Software — The courses and practice tools

Our packages bundle these components together at a discount, so you have everything you need to get started.

Do I need professional installation?

No — everything we sell is designed for DIY setup, with step-by-step guides and video tutorials included. Most customers build their bay over a weekend. Professional installation is available as an option if you’d rather not.

What tools do I need for installation?

Basic tools typically needed include:

• Power drill/driver
• Level
• Tape measure
• Step ladder
• Socket/wrench set
• Stud finder (for wall-mounted enclosures)

Specific requirements vary by product — check the product page or installation guide for a detailed tool list for your package.

How long does setup take?

Setup time varies by package, but here are general estimates:

Enclosure assembly: 2-4 hours
Projector mounting & alignment: 30-60 minutes
Launch monitor calibration: 15-30 minutes
Software installation: 15-30 minutes

Most customers have their simulator up and running in a single day.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, Discover), PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. For larger purchases, we also offer financing through Affirm and Shop Pay Installments — allowing you to split your purchase into monthly payments.

Do you offer financing or payment plans?

Yes! We partner with Affirm and Shop Pay Installments to offer flexible financing. You can split your purchase into monthly payments with rates as low as 0% APR for qualifying customers. Financing options are shown at checkout and on product pages. There’s no impact to your credit score to check your rate.

Do you price match?

We strive to offer the most competitive prices in the market. If you find a lower price from an authorized retailer on an identical in-stock item, contact us and we’ll do our best to match or beat it. Exclusions may apply for clearance items, bundle deals, and unauthorized sellers.

Room & fit

How much space do I need?

As a rule of thumb: 9–10.5′ ceilings (taller for overhead-mounted monitors), 12′+ of width, and enough depth for the enclosure plus room to stand and swing behind it. Every product page lists its exact requirements, and the free Room Size & Fit Guide checks your dimensions.

Will a full driver swing fit my ceiling?

Measure from the floor to the lowest obstruction (joists, lights, ducts). Most golfers need 9′ minimum for a driver; taller players or steeper swings want 9′6″+. Overhead launch monitors like the Uneekor EYE XO need ~10′6″ to mount above your swing.

What about garages and basements?

Both are popular homes for sims. Watch for ceiling obstructions, and plan projector placement around ambient light — our Projector Calculator finds the right model and mounting distance for your room.

Do I need a dark room for the projector?

A darker environment definitely produces a better image, but you don’t need total darkness. Most projectors in our lineup are bright enough for rooms with some ambient light. For best results, use blackout curtains and avoid direct sunlight on the screen. Garage setups with the door closed work perfectly.

Tech & compatibility

Do I need a gaming PC?

For GSPro and most premium simulation software, yes — a Windows PC with a dedicated graphics card (GTX 1070 or better recommended) and 16GB RAM. We offer ready-to-play SurfThing builds as package add-ons, or you can use your own.

Which software comes with my simulator?

It varies by package — many include a GSPro license, and Uneekor systems include trial periods of Uneekor’s own software. Each product page lists exactly what’s bundled and what subscriptions cost after any included period.

What simulation software is compatible with your launch monitors?

Our launch monitors support a wide range of software options including:

E6 Connect — Premium course library, stunning graphics
GSPro — Community favorite, 200+ courses, great value
TGC 2019 — Thousands of user-created courses
Awesome Golf — Beginner-friendly, clean interface
Creative Golf 3D — Fun mini-games and courses

Compatibility varies by launch monitor model. Check individual product pages for supported software.

How accurate are golf simulators?

Modern golf simulators are remarkably accurate. Premium launch monitors track dozens of data points including ball speed, club speed, launch angle, spin rate, and carry distance — often within 1-2% of real-world results. The accuracy depends largely on the launch monitor technology. Photometric (camera-based) systems like the GC3 and Uneekor models are considered the gold standard for accuracy.

Short throw vs. standard throw projector — which do I need?

Short throw projectors sit close to the screen (3-6 feet away) and are ideal for rooms with limited depth. They reduce shadows when you stand near the screen.

Standard throw projectors are typically mounted on the ceiling 10-15 feet from the screen. They’re often more affordable and work well in larger rooms.

Use our Projector Calculator tool to determine the best option for your room dimensions.

Do I need Wi-Fi for my simulator?

A stable internet connection is required for most simulation software (downloading courses, online play, software updates). Wi-Fi works, but we recommend a wired Ethernet connection for the most stable experience, especially for online multiplayer. Some launch monitors also use Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to connect to your computer or tablet.

Left-handed golfers?

Overhead systems (EYE XO, XO2) read both left- and right-handed swings without repositioning. Portable units typically need to be moved to the other side of the ball — check the product page for specifics.

Shipping & delivery

Where do you ship?

Within the United States. Shipping is free on orders over $100.

How long does shipping take?

Processing: Most orders ship within 3-5 business days.
Standard delivery: 5-10 business days after shipping.
Freight shipments (enclosures, large packages): 7-14 business days after shipping.

You’ll receive tracking information via email once your order ships. Delivery times may vary during peak seasons or for manufacturer-direct items.

Why did my order arrive in multiple shipments?

Large packages combine products from multiple manufacturers’ warehouses, so components often ship separately. You’ll get tracking numbers for each shipment — don’t worry if the screen arrives before the launch monitor.

What will I need to source locally?

Some enclosure kits (like Carl’s Pro) use standard EMT conduit pipes for framing, which are cheap at any hardware store but expensive to ship. Your order includes a cut sheet with exact lengths to bring to the store.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship to the United States and Canada. Canadian orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, and brokerage fees that are the responsibility of the buyer. For other international shipping inquiries, please contact our support team.

Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?

We process orders quickly, so contact us as soon as possible if you need to make changes. If your order hasn’t shipped yet, we can usually modify or cancel it. Once an order has shipped, it would need to follow our standard return process. Email or call us and we’ll do our best to help.

What should I do if my order arrives damaged?

If your order arrives with visible damage, take photos of the packaging and damaged items immediately. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos. We’ll work with the carrier and manufacturer to get a replacement sent out as quickly as possible. For freight deliveries, always inspect before signing — note any damage on the delivery receipt.

Returns & warranty

What’s your return policy?

30-day hassle-free returns. See the Returns & Warranty policy page for condition requirements and how to start a return.

Are products covered by warranty?

Yes — as an authorized reseller, everything we sell carries its full manufacturer warranty. If something goes wrong, contact us and we’ll handle the claim with the manufacturer alongside you.

How do I start a return or warranty claim?

Contact our support team with your order number and a description of the issue. For returns, we’ll provide a Return Authorization and shipping instructions. For warranty claims, we’ll coordinate with the manufacturer on your behalf. Please do not ship items back without contacting us first.

How do I track my order?

Use the Track Your Order page with your order number, or check the tracking links in your shipping confirmation emails (one per shipment).
