Understanding Throw Ratio

Throw ratio is the relationship between throw distance and screen width. A ratio of 0.69:1 means the projector needs 0.69 feet of distance for every 1 foot of screen width. Lower ratios = shorter distance needed.

Brightness & Foot-Lamberts

Foot-lamberts (fL) measure the actual brightness you see on screen. For a dark simulator room, 12–16 fL is ideal. If you have some ambient light, aim for 20+ fL. Our projectors are selected to perform well in real simulator environments.

Golf Simulator Screen Sizes

Most home golf simulators use screens between 100" and 150" diagonal. The sweet spot is 120"–130" for a standard garage build. Larger screens provide more immersion but require more brightness to maintain image quality.

Shadow-Free Mounting

Short-throw projectors mount close to the screen (usually ceiling-mounted), which means you won't cast shadows when standing at the hitting position. All of our projectors are short-throw designs optimized for simulator use.
