What's Included
Premium Golf Impact Screen
Your choice of Premium White or High-Contrast Gray. Both are engineered for sharpest projection quality and maximum impact absorption, with Carl's innovative zip-tie and bottom cable system that prevents most golf ball bounceback.
BlackStop™ Wraparound Enclosure
Carl's exclusive heavy-duty, light-blocking fabric combines ceiling and sidewalls into one seamless piece. Creates a dark, distraction-free playing environment with richer screen colors and sharper contrast.
Foam Inserts
Protect the steel frame from stray shots. Rolls of foam insert behind the screen flaps to absorb impact and extend the life of your setup.
Steel Fittings
All the fittings you need to build your 2-inch EMT frame. Precision connectors designed to keep the Pro frame square, tight, and wobble-free.
Assembly Instructions & Pipe Diagram
Detailed assembly guide plus a custom diagram with exact pipe cut lengths for your specific size. Source 2-inch EMT locally or add a Pipe Framing Kit for pre-cut, ready-to-assemble pipes.
Pro-Level Construction
Carl's Pro Golf Enclosure Kit is engineered for professional training facilities, commercial golf studios, and high-end golf rooms that see real swings, real practice, and regular use. The heavy-duty build and wraparound BlackStop™ enclosure fabric creates a dark, distraction-free playing environment where you can focus entirely on your game.
Watch the full assembly walkthrough to see how the Pro Enclosure comes together. Assembly takes approximately 2 hours and goes smoothest with a couple of helpers for lifting and connecting the heavier 2" EMT pipes.

Immersive Playing Environment
The Pro Enclosure delivers a true course-like feel with commercial-grade strength. The premium BlackStop™ fabric ensures your screen has rich colors and sharp contrast, while the wraparound design combines the ceiling and sidewalls into one seamless piece for a clean, immersive look.
Its innovative impact screen system uses zip ties and a bottom cable, preventing most golf ball bounceback — so you get a no-bounceback, stay-in-the-fairway kind of golf experience.
Whether you're building a personal high-end golf room or outfitting a commercial training studio, the Pro Enclosure creates the enclosed, immersive environment your setup demands.

Purpose-Built for Overhead Tech
The Pro Enclosure frame is engineered to be strong enough to support mounted electronics, including projectors and overhead launch monitors. You can mount directly to the front bar or add an optional crossbar to position equipment at the exact depth you need.
The optional Movable Crossbar System gives you total flexibility — easy to install at any depth for perfect alignment of your overhead launch monitor. It also works great for overhead lighting. With its future-proof design, it adapts to new technology without the need to retrofit your enclosure.

Custom-Sizing for Premium Spaces
Carl's Pro Enclosure can be custom-sized down to the inch, so it fits the room instead of forcing the room to fit it. This level of precision makes it ideal for premium homes and commercial simulator bays where every dimension matters.
If the standard sizes aren't perfect for your room, contact us at team@golfingsim.com and we'll help you get the exact dimensions for your space to make your build feel intentional, permanent, and professionally planned.

Safety Baffles for Commercial Use
Safety baffles hang from the ceiling to catch and knock down high-angle shots that might bounce off the golf simulator screen. A fantastic option to protect golfers, particularly in commercial golf simulators where multiple users and higher swing speeds are the norm.
Easy to install on the existing Pro frame, baffles give you peace of mind during full swings — especially with drivers and long irons.

Back Cover for Total Immersion
Add an optional back cover to keep ambient light from leaking in or projector light from leaking out. You'll feel like you're actually on the fairway in the brightest and most immersive experience possible.
Back cover pipe kit is sold separately. If you're already cutting your own pipes for the enclosure, you can save money and cut your own for the back cover as well — or order your pipes from us and get everything ready to assemble.

Pipe Framing Kit
The pipe kit is optional, but the pipes to build your frame are not. You need strong 1" EMT to build this DIY Enclosure. You can cut them yourself (we'll tell you the lengths) or just get them from us, pre-cut.
Baffles
Stops high-angle shots from rolling up the screen and coming back at you. Easy to attach to the existing frame for an extra layer of overhead protection.
Choice of Golf Impact Screen
Standard: Budget-friendly, good for getting into indoor golf.
Preferred: Tighter weave for a smoother picture, great for home and commercial.
Premium: Best image quality, longest durability, reduces noise and bounce-back.
High-Contrast Gray: Allows for deeper blacks and richer colors.
Black Nylon Enclosure
Tough fabric that surrounds your simulator to contain any stray balls. Creates a clean, professional-looking hitting bay and blocks ambient light for a better projected image.
Foam Insert Kit
Protect the frame and ricochets by inserting foam under the screen's flaps. A simple addition that prevents damage and keeps your setup safe.
Back Cover & Back Cover Pipes
Add a fabric back to shade the screen from rear ambient light. Also great for enclosures on high-pile turf where balls can sneak under the screen.
Net Wall Extensions
A set of nets that easily attach to your enclosure using hook-and-loop strips. Helps keep mishits in the hitting area and adds an extra layer of safety.

- Back Cover Kit — Enclose the rear for maximum light blocking and immersion
- Back Cover Pipe Kit — Pre-cut pipes for the back cover frame
Setup & Space Requirements
Space Requirements
When planning your Pro Enclosure installation, account for:
- Buffer Space — Leave at least 2" above the enclosure for assembly, 2–3" on each side
- Rear Clearance — 12" at the rear is recommended (minimum 9.5" required for the backset rear fittings)
- Hitting Distance — Stand a minimum of 10–12 feet from the impact screen
- Ceiling Height — Enough clearance to complete a full swing with your longest club
- Projector Placement — Factor in projector throw distance based on your screen size
Our C-Series enclosures have built-in buffer space in the rear with the backset rear fitting. Use our Projector Calculator to determine the best projector mounting location for your setup.
Frame & Construction
The Pro Enclosure mounts on a frame built from 2-inch EMT (Electrical Metal Tubing/Conduit). This is heavier-duty than the 1" EMT used in DIY kits, providing the structural strength needed for commercial installations and mounted electronics.
Important: 2-inch EMT is the US trade name — the true outer diameter is 2.197" (55.8mm). Do not mistake PVC pipes for EMT; PVC will not work with Carl's fittings.
Two frame options:
- Self-Source — Purchase 2" EMT pipes locally and cut to size. The kit includes all steel fittings and a custom diagram with exact cut lengths.
- Pipe Framing Kit — Add Carl's pre-cut pipe kit for perfectly sized, ready-to-assemble pipes. Highly recommended since 2" EMT can be difficult to source locally.
Assembly takes approximately 2 hours. Best with a couple helpers for lifting and connecting pipes.

Frequently Asked Questions
How far away should I stand from my impact screen?
For the safety of both the golfer and the screen, we recommend standing a minimum of 10–12 feet away from the impact screen.
What is the difference between Carl's Enclosure Kits?
Carl's DIY Golf Enclosure Kit offers an easy, entry-level way to build a safe place to swing your clubs. An affordable, convenient kit, the DIY Enclosure Kit helps home golfers take the guesswork out of building a golf simulator.
Carl's Pro Golf Enclosure Kit is a higher-end enclosure for top-of-the-line performance. Available in wider, deeper bays with additional safety features, it makes the best commercial golf simulator enclosure.
Carl's Curved Golf Enclosure Kit takes the Pro Enclosure's sturdy design to the next level, adding a seamless curved screen for a truly immersive, panoramic experience.
How much space do I need for the Pro Enclosure?
When measuring for a golf simulator, account for:
- Buffer space — At least 2" above, 2–3" on each side, and 12" at the rear (minimum 9.5" required for rear fittings)
- Enclosure footprint — C-Series enclosures have built-in buffer space at the rear with the backset rear fitting
- Hitting distance — Minimum 10–12 feet from screen
- Ceiling height — Account for golfer height, club length, turf thickness, and any soffits or ducts
Check the size details on the product selector above for actual frame dimensions of each standard size.
What pipes do I need to construct the Pro Enclosure frame?
Pro Golf Enclosures require 2-inch EMT (Electrical Metal Tubing/Conduit). We recommend adding a Pipe Framing Kit to your order so you get pre-cut, perfectly sized, and marked pipes — all you have to do is assemble.
Note: 2-inch EMT can be difficult to source locally. Make sure you have a source before making your buying decision. Either way, we provide a detailed diagram with the required cut lengths for your specific size kit.
Pro Enclosure orders with a Pipe Framing Kit ship freight. If you're unable to unload a pallet of 50lb boxes, consider adding lift gate service.
How long does it take to assemble the Pro Enclosure?
Carl's Place Pro Golf Simulator Enclosure Kits assemble in approximately 2 hours. It's best if you have a couple helpers, especially for lifting and connecting the heavier 2" EMT pipes for the frame.
When will my enclosure ship?
Carl's Place Pro Enclosure Kits are made to order — each one is measured, sewn, and packed perfectly before shipping. Because of this custom process, production typically takes 1–2 weeks before shipping. You'll receive tracking information via email once your order ships.
Should I add the movable crossbar to my Pro Enclosure?
The Movable Crossbar for Carl's Place Pro Enclosures is a great accessory for those looking to mount a projector and overhead launch monitor or lighting to their enclosure. It's easy to install at any depth for perfect alignment of your overhead launch monitor. Also works great for overhead lighting.
Can I iron or steam my golf impact screen?
We do NOT recommend ironing your golf screen — it is very easy to damage the screen material. Wrinkles and fold marks from shipping will naturally fall out over time with use. Mounting the screen to the frame with tension and letting it relax for a couple of days will smooth out most wrinkles.
A consumer-grade steamer with distilled water can help accelerate the wrinkle-removing process without leaving water marks on your screen.
Can I wash my golf screen material?
For cleaning your golf impact screen, use a damp cloth with mild soap and gently wipe the surface. Avoid harsh chemicals, machine washing, or abrasive scrubbing. Check Carl's Place support articles for detailed cleaning recommendations.
What if the black enclosure material gets hit with a golf ball?
The enclosure material is not designed to take a direct hit from a golf ball. However, if you hit the white impact screen and the ball bounces back and contacts the enclosure, you should not experience any issues. For added protection, consider adding safety baffles.
Can I get a replacement screen for the enclosure?
Yes — replacement screens are available to save you money versus buying a full new kit. Contact us at team@golfingsim.com and we'll arrange a replacement screen for you.
Are there safety concerns when using a golf simulator?
We want your indoor golf setup to be fun, help improve your game, and be safe for everyone. Follow the assembly manual provided with your enclosure, keep children and pets at a safe distance during use, and make sure your enclosure is properly secured to the frame. Standing the recommended 10–12 feet from the screen provides adequate safety margin.
What are EMT pipes?
EMT stands for Electrical Metal Tubing, also known as Electrical Metal Conduit. The Pro Enclosure Kit uses 2-inch EMT to build the frame that supports the enclosure fabric and impact screen. Do not mistake PVC pipes for EMT — PVC will not work with Carl's fittings.
You have two options: add a Pipe Framing Kit (recommended for 2" EMT) or source pipes at your local hardware store.
Can you make a custom size golf simulator enclosure?
Yes! Carl's Place can customize Pro Enclosures down to the inch. Choose the size of enclosure and screen that fits your space. Contact us at team@golfingsim.com for custom sizing options. Please review measurements carefully before ordering.
Where and how should I mount my projector?
Projector specifications determine the maximum image size and how far from the screen it needs to be mounted. Use our Projector Calculator to find the best mounting location.
The Pro Enclosure frame is designed to support mounted electronics. You can ceiling-mount, flush-mount, or frame-mount a projector directly to the Pro Enclosure. Short-throw projectors can also be placed on the floor inside the simulator (with a protective cover).
How big is the Pro Enclosure?
Check the size details on the product selector above or see the specifications PDF in the Resources section for actual frame dimensions of each standard size.
Note that C-Series enclosures have a backset rear fitting, creating a footprint 9.5" deeper than the listing size. This built-in buffer space at the rear means hard-hit golf balls won't contact the wall behind the enclosure.
Do I need to use a golf hitting mat?
A golf hitting mat gives you a cushioned surface to stand and swing on, protecting your joints from impact during your swing. It also provides a more realistic golf practice experience with a grass-like surface. While not strictly required, a quality hitting mat is strongly recommended for comfort and longevity of your setup.
What Golfers Are Saying
Looks amazing. I’ve used Carl’s at several installs. They are top shelf.
The spandex side walls are very tight with no wrinkles. Custom bumpers are thick and velcro nicely. Professional look — pipes cut to exact size.
